This is the latest addition to our family. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Scooter. He is an 8 week old shitz zu. We're in our 2nd week of Marty, our 12yo pompoo, allowing Scooter to live in her kingdom. It's at the point now where Marty will at least enter the room where Scooter is. Any suggestions folks other than, "time will take care of it" are welcomed.

Don't blame the messenger.......

Ok.... I'll fess up. I was never much of a Dixie Chicks fan till Stephanie kept playing "Landslide" on the WH jukebox. This led me to buying some of their cd's and actually liking some of their songs. What led me to admire them was "The Statement". Those of you that are my constant readers know that I'm not really fond of the bushmeister either. I'm tired of the lies.

I had no problem with cleaning out the Taliban in Afghanistan. Osama? Jerk that towel off of his head and use it to wipe up the blood he leaves on the ground! But Iraq? I'd be willing to be there wasn't an al-qaeda terrorist in Iraq before we invaded. But invade we did.

Natalie Maynes had the balls to stand up on stage and say what a lot of us were saying at the time. We were ashamed not because he was from Texas (hell, I haven't met a half dozen Texans I liked anyways) but for other reasons. From the coup of 2000 to ignoring Colin Powell to firing George Tenet and then giving the man the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Ladies, keep making music. I for one will keep buying it and loving your honest lyrics. Don't soften publically either. Believe me, the history books will back us up. This man and his war monger cronies will pay in the publics eye after all is said and done. That depends of course that there is a public left after their done.

Below are my favorite lyrics from their latest:

excerpt from "I'm not ready to make nice"
Dixie Chicks

Made my bed and I sleep like a baby
I've no regrets and I don't mind sayin
It's a sad sad story
When a mother will teach her
daughter that she oughta hate a perfect stranger

How in the world can the words that I said
send somebody so over the edge
that he'd write me a letter saying shut up and sing
or my live will be over.

It's been awhile....

and for that I apologize. It's not that I haven't had anything to say, I just haven't taken the time to come in here and say it. I know it's cost me readers but what the hell. Those that got a little entertainment out of my drivels here, will be back sooner or later. I KNOW you have my bookmarked! LOL....
