Thoughts on the bitch katrina...

My heart goes out to all of the residents in the affected areas of Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. However unlike most, my head is still firmly on my shoulders. It is not up my ass. No need for a glass belly button here!

I suppose I should have a lot to say right now. I could sit here and type away for hours about the hurricane that ravaged the Gulf Coast of the US last weekend. I could rant and rave at the bush misadministration for the aftermath. But what good would any of that do? I have purposely not posted this week for this reason. One more page of bullshit isn't what's needed right now.

I did read other blogs and almost threw up in the process. I even posted comments to a few of them. Most of the time, I clicked on to the next pages of postings by people (both here and abroad) that knew exactly the same thing that I do... NOTHING more than what they are seeing on TV.

So I did what I can do. What millions of others have done. I donated to the cause. I would love to go there and search, dig through rubble and do whatever needs to be done. But due to health concerns of my own, this isn’t possible. So the $$ will have to do. That hurts me. I hate just throwing money at a problem.
